Sutton-in-Craven is a village in the Craven district of North Yorkshire and is situated in the Aire Valley between Skipton and Keighley.

At present there are one thousand, four hundred and ninety six properties and a population of approximately three thousand, five hundred.

Sited next to open countryside it has a number of local walks and beauty spots, local shops, businesses, village hall, senior citizens centre, an excellent park, pubs, good schools, churches and good transport links.

Social Activities include football, cricket, bowling, flower, art clubs, amateur dramatics, dancing, girls brigade and more with various events held throughout the year.

The village has a strong sense of community with many people having lived here all their lives.

The council consists of ten members, five of which represent Sutton Mill Ward and five Sutton Ward.

Elections to the Parish Council are held every four years.
Sutton-in-Craven Parish Council is an elected body with responsibilities for representing the whole of the electorate of Sutton-in-Craven, delivering services to meet local needs and improving quality of life.

Areas under the custodian of Sutton-in-Craven Parish Council are:
The Park, The Jubilee Pavilion Tea Room, Lumb Clough, Crag Nook Delph, Lund's Tower, Pinfold and the Allotments.
